Flyer - Current Class Dates!Flyer - All Classes Flyer - Advanced Open Water Course The PADI Advanced Open Water Course This course does not require a written test! Now that we have your attention... This course allows the diver to complete five different dives, and receive specialized training from an instructor on each. These are just a few of the specialty dives you can choose from. On the NAVIGATION dive you'll improve your competence with a compass both on the surface and underwater. You'll take part in straight-line and pattern navigation exercises, and learn how to use natural navigation to find your way as you dive. This dive will make you more confident in conducting dives without relying on a Divemaster. The NIGHT dive - which is always a favorite - introduces you to some new diving equipment, including dive lights and strobes. The underwater world at night is a completely different place than it is during the day. There are many nocturnal creatures and animals that show their colors and faces underwater after daylight. Night diving gives you an opportunity to see the ocean in a whole new light. You will
receive some basic deep diver training on the DEEP dive, during which
you can experience depth beyond the 60' limit on your Open Water certification.
Deep Diving makes it possible to visit wrecks, and observe different types
of marine life that aren't found in shallower depths. There are specialized
types of equipment often recommended for deep diving, which will be covered
in this portion of the Advanced Open Water Course. The MULTI-LEVEL dive introduces you to the use of the PADI wheel, which enables you to plan dives at multiple depths (thus increasing your bottom time). UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY is a specialty dive that can be chosen if you have an interest in capturing the splendor of the aquatic world on film. The UNDERWATER NATURALIST dive introduces you the aquatic realm, from an ecological perspective. You'll be introduced to various types of marine life and their habitats, and the affect that man has on the underwater environment. As an ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER, you will be recognized as someone who has received additional training, and truly taken your diving education seriously. It is without a doubt, the most logical step following the Open Water Diver Course. For More Information Please E-mail Us: scubainfo@annapolisscuba.com
